About

I am a Houston-based photographer and retired professional engineer who has been capturing images for more than 45 years. A lifelong Nikon enthusiast and world traveler, I primarily focus on landscapes, cityscapes, astrophotography, cars, nature, and night photography. I work to blend technical precision with artistic curiosity, to share my lifelong love of light, structure, and exploration.

Now in my “chapter two” after retiring from engineering, I continue to travel and explore, with the goal to share my view of the world through this website, my social media channels, and my Fine Art America gallery.

My Gear

For the last twenty years, I’ve been shooting with Nikon. Currently, I have the Nikon Z8 and an Nikon D800 that is astro-modified by Spencer Camera.
I traded in my D850 and most lens when I upgraded to the Z8. I am trying to not have ‘lens bloat’ by collecting too many lenses, but that’s tough when there are so many options and some have some cool features.

Currently, my lens include:
• Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S
• Nikkor Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S
• Nikkor FTZ II adapter to use my 14-24mm f/2.8 F-mount and 60mm F-mount
